Unique Cash For Cars Gold Coast

Sell My Car Gold Coast

Selling privately means photos, listings, messages, strangers at your house and a fortnight of no-shows. Selling to us means one phone call and a truck. Here's how to decide which is right for your car.

When selling to us makes sense — and when it doesn't

We'll be straight with you, because it saves us both time. Most car buyers on the Gold Coast will not tell you this, but if your car is registered, roadworthy, under about ten years old and you're not in a hurry, you will almost certainly get more for it selling privately. Take the photos, write the listing, be patient.

Where we're the better option is everything else. Cars that don't start. Cars that would fail a roadworthy. Cars that are worth less than the repair quote. Cars you need gone by Friday because you're moving, or the lease is up, or you've already bought the replacement. In those situations a private sale is slow, stressful and often ends in the same place anyway.

What you need to have ready

Selling is quick when the paperwork is in order and slow when it isn't. Before you call, check you have:

  • Photo ID matching the registered owner
  • The registration certificate, or the rego number if you can't find it
  • Any finance payout letter, if there's money still owing
  • The keys — not essential, but it helps the price

What happens on the day

We turn up at the time we agreed, at your home, work, or wherever the car is sitting. We check the car matches what you described, verify your ID and ownership, and you sign the transfer of registration.

Then we pay you — cash on the spot, or bank transfer if you'd rather — and load the car. You keep the plates if the registration is still current so you can claim any refund from TMR. The whole thing usually takes about twenty minutes.

How selling your car works

  1. Tell us about the car

Call us or fill in the form. We need the make, model, year, rough condition and where it's parked. That's enough for a firm number — usually in about a minute.

  2. We confirm and book a time

If you're happy with the quote we lock in a pickup. We come to you: home, work, a carpark, the side of the road. Same day is often possible.

  3. Paperwork, cash, gone

We check ID and registration, you sign the transfer, we pay you on the spot and tow the car away free. The price we quoted is the price you get.

Frequently asked questions

How much will you pay for my car?
Between a few hundred dollars for a stripped scrap shell and $9,999 for a late-model vehicle in good order. We won't pretend a single number applies to every car — call us with the make, model, year and condition and we'll give you a real figure in about a minute.
Is your quote based on anything, or is it a guess?
It's based on current wholesale and salvage values for that make and model, the recoverable parts, and the scrap steel price at the time. That's why the number moves with the market and why we ask specific questions rather than quoting a flat rate.
Can you buy my car the same day?
Often, yes — particularly across the Gold Coast if you call in the morning. Tell us your deadline when you ring and we'll tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
Can I sell a car that still has finance owing on it?
Yes, provided the payout figure is less than what we're paying you, or you can cover the difference. You'll need a payout letter from the finance company. We can't complete a sale while an encumbrance is still registered against the vehicle.
Do you buy cars that don't run?
That's most of what we buy. Flat battery, blown engine, no gearbox, four flat tyres, hasn't moved in five years — none of it matters. We tow it regardless, so it never needs to start.
Will you sell me spare parts?
We recover parts from Korean, Japanese, Australian, European and American vehicles. Call with the make, model and year and we'll check what's on the shelf.
